Patriots Reportedly Not Considering Signing Antonio Brown Despite Offensive Struggles
By Michael Luciano
Antonio Brown is running out of avenues to pursue his return to the NFL, as the most recent team he played for has reportedly decided not to bring him back.
Despite recently struggling on offense, specifically at wide receiver, the New England Patriots have not considered re-signing AB.
After famously getting himself booted out of Pittsburgh and Oakland due to his nonstop petulance, Brown signed with New England, even catching a touchdown pass in a Week 2 win against the Miami Dolphins.
However, a sexual assault allegation that could see Brown face a hefty penalty from the league coupled with the tsunami of negative PR that he brings with him forced New England's hand, and they cut him after just one game. Despite his best efforts to apologize, it's highly unlikely he plays another snap of football in 2019.
Brown is learning the hard way that his actions have consequences, because even a championship-caliber team that has familiarity with him and a hole at wide receiver is unwilling to bring him back for a stretch run.
