Patriots Reportedly Sign YouTube ‘Trick Shot’ Kicker Josh Gable to Practice Squad
By Michael Luciano

Even with Nick Folk healed from his appendectomy, the New England Patriots are looking for a little insurance in their kicking game amid the ongoing fallout from the injury to Stephen Gostkowski.
In the spirit of Havard "Kickalicious" Rugland, who kicked for the Detroit Lions in the 2013 preseason, the Patriots are signing YouTube star Josh Gable to the practice squad.
The Patriots have signed K Josh Gable to their practice squad, per source. Gable, who attended a minicamp with the team before, is known as the YouTube "trick shot" kicker. Depth behind Nick Folk on the roster.

Gable became famous for his trick shot compilations on YouTube that show him drilling bizarre kicks from impossible angles.
Gable was a soccer player in college who made the switch to kicking after he graduated. He was with New England for one rookie minicamp, but his only live experience kicking has come with the Indoor Football League. Gable kicked for such illustrious teams as the Nebraska Danger and Tuscon Sugar Skulls before the Patriots came calling.
The #Patriots are working out more kickers today, bringing in FA Younghoe Koo and... this guy: Josh Gable, whose YouTube videos are bananas. The former kicker for the Nebraska Danger of the IFL spent one rookie minicamp in NE. https://t.co/FcHhYpVXPt and https://t.co/igu3Gffj6I

No matter what happens in his pro career, the fact that Gable has managed to grind his way to the NFL off of YouTube and the IFL is nothing short of amazing.
