VIDEO: Gronk Flames Retirement Rumors, Making 'Big Announcement' on Tuesday
By Michael Luciano
Another week, another Rob Gronkowski un-retirement rumor. The former New England Patriots tight end teased an unspecified "big announcement" coming on Tuesday morning. Gronkowski is eligible to come off of the reserve/retired list by Nov. 30, so many Patriots fans and NFL conspiracy theorists are starting to connect the dots and assume that this points to the beloved tight end coming out of retirement.
At the risk of sounding like a wet blanket, he's probably not going to make his return to football.
Gronkowski has put football in the rear-view mirror, opting instead for CBD advocacy and selling a line of water bottles. He's also been given a steadily increasing role with FOX's NFL coverage. By all accounts, he's excelled on TV, as his unique, charismatic personality has shone through.
This is all evidence that points to the possibility his "big announcement" isn't going to be what Patriots fans were clamoring for.
It's probably something related to one of his many non-football business ventures, but there's still a chance Gronk shocks the world and gets back on the field.
Set your phone reminders now folks, because you won't want to miss his bombshell announcement on Tuesday morning.
