Patriots Star WR Josh Gordon Reinstated Conditionally by NFL

Nothing like a little Adam Schefter bomb on this Friday evening to get us even more excited for the NFL's impending regular season.
Per Schefter, the NFL has opted to reinstate New England Patriots wideout Josh Gordon less than two weeks after he officially applied for restoration from the league.

Of course, the former All-Pro wideout announced in December that he was stepping away from the game (again) to focus on his mental health. It was later announced that he was suspended indefinitely by the league for violating the terms of his initial reinstatement.
Bill Belichick and Co. have, on numerous occasions this offseason, publicly stated their backing of Flash and that the organization would welcome him back with open arms if the NFL permitted his reinstatement.
Josh Gordon was suspended Dec. 20 for violating the terms of his reinstatement under the league's substance abuse policy, missing the Patriots' final two regular-season games and all three playoff games. But now, he’s back.

Gordon signed a franchise tender with New England in the offseason to ensure that he would remain with the franchise if he were to ultimately be reinstated. Now we know why.
It would be foolish to not presume that the 28-year-old talent will have a prominent role featuring out wide of Tom Brady. After all, he compiled 41 receptions for 737 yards and 4 touchdowns in just 12 games last season.
