Tom Brady and Bill Belichick Reportedly Had Phone Conversation Tuesday That 'Did Not Go Well'
By Scott Rogust
Many NFL fans aren't buying that quarterback Tom Brady will leave the New England Patriots at the start of the new league year. Well, it might be time to begin believing.
According to various reports out of Boston, Brady had a phone conversation with head coach Bill Belichick on Tuesday, and it "didn't go well" and "wasn't particularly productive."
it's unknown how long the two spoke or if any contract details were discussed, only that it ended in less than ideal circumstances.
This report doesn't rule out a return for Brady, as Belichick is known for being cold in terms of his impending free agents. However, the Patriots will have competition in securing Brady for 2020 and beyond, and any less-than-ideal news sounds bad at this point.
Tom E. Curran of NBC Sports Boston reports that the Patriots and Tennessee Titans are viewed as the front-runners for the six-time Super Bowl champion's services. Additionally, Curran says the San Francisco 49ers are "closing hard" for Brady.
it may not be a matter of money in terms of winning over Brady. Rather, it's what weapons teams can provide for him. Last year, the Patriots had a lack of offensive threats besides Julian Edelman, and the team suffered as a result.
There are still two weeks remaining until the start of the new league year, so brace yourselves for countless reports on Brady and which uniform he will don in 2020.
