Patriots Work Out Ex-Raiders WR Ryan Grant

After the release of Antonio Brown over a week ago, the New England Patriots are taking a look at potential reinforcements at the wide receiver position.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Patriots are working out former Oakland Raider Ryan Grant on Thursday. This comes a day after the Raiders released the player.
The move coincidentally comes with receiver Julian Edelman being limited in practice for the past two days. Edelman suffered a chest injury in Week 3 against the New York Jets that forced him from the game.
Grant has had quite the journey. Last year, the Baltimore Ravens had the intention of signing him to a four-year, $29 million contract, but he failed his physical the very next day and the team voided the offer. Grant would later sign with the Indianapolis Colts on a one-year, $5 million deal shortly afterwards. In 14 games in 2018, Grant recorded 35 receptions for 334 yards and one touchdown.
The Raiders signed Grant back in April, and he won a roster spot in the preseason. Grant appeared in the first two weeks of the regular season, tallying just four receptions for 14 yards.
