After another hit of the reset button, Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon is back in the NFL and hopes nobody judges him on his past, but on the present and the future.

Gordon was brought back by the league after an indefinite suspension for violating the terms of his conditional reinstatement. The 2013 Pro Bowl selection said that he failed to deal with the issues around his substance abuse until recently.

Word of Gordon's suspension got out after he had announced that he would take time away from football to focus on his mental health, which is definitely something that more athletes should look into, but would Gordon have walked away had he known an indefinite ban wasn't looming over him?

Flash's short time with the Patriots has been encouraging -- Gordon recorded three touchdowns -- his first as a Patriot turned out to be Tom Brady's 500th NFL touchdown pass -- as well as 40 receptions and over 700 yards in 11 games.

Gordon's ability has been on display, it's just a matter of if he can stay on the field to show it. Here's to hoping that he really has gotten everything together for his own sake and the Patriots' as well, because the league certainly looks like they're behind him.
