Patriots WR Julian Edelman's Shoulder Injury Sounds a Lot Worse Than Previously Reported
By Michael Luciano

The New England Patriots are trying to secure a first-round bye with a win in Week 17 against a Miami Dolphins team that is going nowhere fast, but this game is worth monitoring for another reason: to watch the health of Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman.
Edelman has been dealing with a shoulder injury, and the injury sounds more limiting and severe than an injury report or even Edelman himself indicated.

Edelman is just nine catches and 16 yards from setting new career best marks in receptions and receiving yards. In a year where New England has struggled to get consistency from their wide receivers, Edelman has once again been excellent.
Edelman could be seen out on the Gillette Stadium turf before the game making sure that his shoulder is ready to do. Don't be surprised if he's on a pitch count as the playoffs approach.

Edelman or no Edelman, New England shouldn't have much trouble with a Miami team that they barely had to break a sweat against in Week 2. Still, this could be something to watch as the Patriots gear up for the playoffs.
