PED-Suspended Patrick Peterson Looks Like a Fool Now for Disrespectful Tom Brady Take
By Sean Facey
Irony is a fickle thing, isn't it?
Just a few short years back, Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson laid into Tom Brady during the Deflategate scandal, saying he "disrespected the game" with actions that likely didn't happen, and definitely didn't matter.
Now, four years later, Peterson has been suspended for using performance enhancing drugs, and looks like an absolute fool.
The oft-quoted phrase, "Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones" comes to mind here.
It's especially ridiculous considering there was at least some debate as to whether or not the pressure in the footballs even influenced the outcome of the game. Peterson's actions, on the other hand, quite literally gave him an unfair advantage and, in turn, disrespected the integrity of the game.
Now he looks like nothing more than a hypocrite and a clown for what he said.
The suspension has cost him in character, face and even money. He will miss out on an estimated $3.8 million in salary due to his suspension.
Peterson would have been better off keeping his mouth shut rather than disparaging one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game of football, because in the end, it came back to bite him.
