What happens when two players with fiery personalities cross each other on the same baseball field?

Yasiel Puig and Pedro Strop, both of whom have had their run-ins with other players in the league, went at each other on Saturday when Strop hit Puig with a stray 3-0 fastball.

Puig took exception to it, and he acted on it -- by walking towards the mound, spiking his helmet, and barking at the Cubs reliever for what seemed like minutes before he was finally taken off the field.

After the event, Strop had this to say in the clubhouse.

First of all, "Nothing against him, he's just stupid," may be the baseball line of the year. Secondly, we don't really know if Strop's pitch was intentional or not, but judging by his reaction, it seemed to be a fastball that simply got away.

Maybe Puig was frustrated by being 0-for-3, or maybe he was frustrated by being down 5-0 at home against a division rival. Regardless, this is something that will certainly be discussed in the league office.
