Pelicans' David Griffin Reportedly Providing Teams With 'Framework' for Anthony Davis Trade Packages
By Zack Jiang

The Anthony Davis sweepstakes could be soon coming to an end. With the NBA Draft just 10 days away, numerous teams have aggressively tried to come up with the best offer to land the New Orleans superstar.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Pelicans' GM David Griffin has reportedly provided teams with a framework for his preferred Davis trade packages. Griffin's framework could require multiple teams to get involved in order to complete.
ESPN Sources: New Orleans EVP of Basketball Operations David Griffin has started to provide Anthony Davis' trade suitors with the framework of the package he's seeking in a deal ---- which is likely to need multiple teams to complete. Story: https://t.co/hKZcySwpsG

The teams that have reportedly been inquiring about Davis are the Los Angeles and New York teams: the Lakers, Clippers, Knicks, and Nets. While these teams are loaded with assets, Griffin wants even more. He is setting the bar high, so other teams may need to get involved for Griffin to acquire players he values.
While the mentioned teams have been aggressively trying to create new packages, one of the best possible trade partners has been sitting still. The Boston Celtics could have the players and draft assets that fit Griffin's framework, but the team has been passive as they await the free agency decision of Kyrie Irving.
NBA source (who I trust a lot) told me tonight he thinks Boston is landing spot for Anthony Davis.

Says Tatum is player NOLA covets most.
Tatum, Smart (who @PelicansNBA also really like), filler (Williams, Ojeyele or Yabusele) & at least pick #14 this year.

It seems a Davis deal is imminent with the draft coming up soon. Griffin's provided framework could also mean the Pelicans are looking to get a deal done soon. Don't be surprised if the blockbuster deal is completed in the near future.
