Pete Alonso Has Perfect Tweet in Wake of Carlos Beltran Stepping Down as Mets Manager
By Michael Luciano

The New York Mets are already in the market for a new manager after parting ways with Carlos Beltran due to his connection to the sign-stealing scandal in Houston.
The fanbase is in a complete tizzy after the former fan favorite was given the axe, but 2019 MLB home run leader and NL Rookie of the Year Pete Alonso was pleading for the fanbase to believe in this team and for the players themselves to remain focused on the task at hand.
Yes: there’s a lot of craziness in the baseball world right now. At the end of the day, we have to do our job on the field and win the battle between the lines. Great things are to come this year. The boys will be ready. #LFGM

The Mets have not named a replacement for Beltran at the moment, but Alonso doesn't seem too worried.
While fans in Flushing are likely panicking, Alonso is encouraging them to remain level-headed and assured them the team will be giving its all in 2020.

Alonso hasn't even played one inning in his second season, and he's already going to be on his third manager. Still, the Polar Bear wants Mets fans to keep calm as the franchise navigates what could be an extremely volatile next few weeks.
