Pete Carroll wanted Russell Wilson back

Things aren't going to be the same for the Seattle Seahawks, as Russell Wilson is now with the Denver Broncos and it's looking like Drew Lock will be the new starter for the Hawks.
If you ask Pete Carroll, though, he never wanted a change to happen. Per Carroll, he tried to speak with Wilson about staying, but the writing was on the wall in this case.

Wilson has said that the two sides parting ways was mutual, but that doesn't look to be the case. Wilson simply wanted a fresh start elsewhere, but Carroll was hopeful the QB would have changed his mind.
