Pro Football Talk is Going After Tyreek Hill Again

Over the weekend, the NFL and Pro Football Hall of Fame announced their All-Decade team for the 2010's. The team was selected by a committee of 48 members selected by the Hall of Fame itself. The rosters included 52 players and two head coaches, and among the ranks was Chiefs speedster Tyreek Hill, who was selected as the decades' top punt returner.

Naturally, the decision to select Hill was another opportunity for Pro Football Talk to get upset about the controversial playmaker.

The long-running saga of Mike Florio and his website going after Hill began when Hill was under investigation for accusations of child abuse. Scrutinizing Hill's off-field behavior is one thing, but this latest and decidedly more menial installment had PFT stomping their boots over Hill's selection as an All-Decade return man.

The piece makes a fair point that Devin Hester should have gotten stronger consideration for the nod. Hester has one of the strongest cases in NFL history for making the Hall of Fame on special teams alone, and racked up 3,695 yards and 14 touchdowns on punt returns in his career. He famously forced teams to reconsider punting simply because of how dominant he was. However, Hester is already on the 2010's All-Decade Team as a kickoff returner; no player is featured twice.

Florio and company have been barking up this tree for a while. From declaring he might not cover the NFL anymore after Hill avoided a suspension to condeming Hill for acting like a dog in the act of urinating during pre-game introductions, PFT has steadily been an opponent of the Cheetah.

Right, wrong or otherwise, Hill's history of bad behavior continues to follow him. He notably he faced no criminal charges or suspensions as a result of his child abuse investigation, but Pro Football Talk isn't ready to let all this go quite yet.
