Police responded to a report of domestic violence at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino on Monday night. Herrera was arrested and later released from police custody.
Herrara was charged with simple assault for the incident that reportedly left his 20-year-old girlfriend injured.
The police report filed alleged that Herrera’s girlfriend had “visible signs of injury to her arms and neck that was sustained after being assaulted by her boyfriend.” She refused medical attention.

It's likely that Herrera could face a suspension from the MLB over the matter. Roberto Osuna, Aroldis Chapman and Addison Russell notably served lengthy suspensions after being involved in domestic violence cases, so it's hard to believe it'll be any different for Herrera.
