The Atlanta Braves (38-30) are rolling winning seven straight and taking over first place in the NL East. On Friday night they will enter a critical three-game series with the Philadelphia Phillies (40-29) to decide who will stay on top of the division.

Bryce Harper finally appears to be hitting better for the Philadelphia squad batting .328 over his last 15 games. He has driven in 12 runs in that span.

Pitching for the Phillies will be right hander Nick Pivetta. The right hander is pitching much better of late and holds a 4-1 record on the year. He's allowed just four runs over his last twenty innings and is coming off his first ever complete game against the Reds on Saturday.

Braves Lineup

The surging Atlanta Braves have scored 69 runs over their last 10 games against the Tigers, Marlins, and Pirates. Ronald Acuna Jr., Dansby Swanson and Freedie Freeman have all provided a spark at the top of the order followed by Austin Riley and Ozzie Albies.

Left hander Max Fried will be on the bump for the Braves tonight. The southpaw is 7-3 with a 3.75 ERA. He hasn't been great in his past couple of starts giving up a season-high nine hits in his past three outings.
