On the bump Wednesday for the Mets will be Jason Vargas. The southpaw has pitched well for the team after a dreadful start to the year. Vargas is 3-3 with a 3.75 ERA in 13 games started.

Phillies Lineup

The Phillies lineup has been hot these past two games after being swept by Miami over the past weekend. Scoring 13 runs on Monday, along with another seven last night, the Phillies have combined for 20 runs in the two games played so far with the Mets. The lineup will look to continue to demolish the Mets weak pitching staff and take the series tonight.

Toeing the rubber for the Phillies will be Nick Pivetta, who is 4-2 on the campaign so far. The righty spent time in the minors this year, but is 2-1 with a 3.94 ERA since being called back up.
