Phillies Lineup
The Phillies will start to explore their in-house options to replace Andrew McCutchen atop the order, who will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL. New acquisition Jay Bruce will try to keep his hot start with the Phillies going. He's 4-for-7 with two home runs and six runs batted in so far.
Jake Arrieta (5-5, 3.96 ERA) gets the start for the Phillies. He got roughed up in his last start, allowing 10 hits and five earned runs in five innings of work against the Dodgers.
Padres Lineup
Franmil Reyes will look to continue his powerful season after he slugged two home runs off of Philadelphia's staff on Tuesday to bring his season total up to 20. Manny Machado, who's batting just .083 over his previous seven games, will attempt to bust out of his slump.
Cal Quantrill (1-2, 5.14 ERA) will start for the Padres. The rookie tossed a quality start in his most recent appearance, striking out nine across six innings against the Blue Jays.
