The Phillies enter this game coming off a tough 0-8 loss against the Los Angeles Dodgers in their series finale. Pitcher Aaron Nola (6-0) will get the start and look to build upon his last start, where he allowed just one earned run and had eight strikeouts and three walks through seven strong innings. Nola currently has a 4.18 ERA, and 74 strikeouts through 64.2 innings pitched. He's been particularly good as of late, with a 2.50 ERA in his last seven starts.

The Phillies have all the pieces in place to secure a big win in San Diego, especially now that they have power hitter Jay Bruce coming off the bench after the trade with the Seattle Mariners.

Padres Lineup
On the side for the Padres, they enter this game coming on a two game losing-streak after dropping two games against the Miami Marlins in their last series. In Monday's matchup, Greg Garcia will lead off, with Franmil Reyes and Manny Machado backing him up.

Fernando Tatis Jr. isn't quite back yet, but is rehabbing right now with Double-A Amarillo, with his sights set on a return to the majors sometimes in mid-June.

The Padres could certainly use Tatis Jr.'s bat right now, as they're a bottom-five team in runs scored with 232, and batting average with a collective .231. Pitcher Eric Lauer (4-4) will get the start Monday night, as he looks to build upon his last start, where he allowed just one earned run through five and one-third innings with four strikeouts. He's yet to face Philadelphia so far in his young career, so it'll be interesting to see how this one plays out.
