By Brian Cass
After taking the opening game of their series against the Cincinnati Reds (28-34), the NL East-leading Philadelphia Phillies (36-27) will be looking to make it two in a row Saturday afternoon in front of their home fans.
How to Live Stream Reds-Phillies
Game two between the Reds and Phils will be televised regionally on FOX Sports Ohio and NBC Sports Philadelphia and will start at 4:25 p.m. ET. Streaming is available on MLB.TV and the Reddit MLB Streams subreddit.
Phillies Lineup
Right-hander Nick Pivetta will be on the mound for Philadelphia today coming off a strong outing in his last start against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He has a 3-1 record with a 6.14 ERA and 31 strikeouts so far this season. He's had trouble finding consistency, but he's hoping to carry his great game against a potent LA team into today's matchup.
Former Reds outfielder Jay Bruce has been a spark plug for the Phillies since joining up. With the absence of leadoff man Andrew McCutchen, who was lost for the season this week after tearing his ACL, Bruce has more than made up for that lost production. He's hit 4 homers in his first four games with the team, the first player to do so in the modern era.
Reds Lineup
Tanner Roark will take the mound Saturday for the Reds following a six-inning outing in his last start against the Washington Nationals. He's faced the Phillies quite a bit throughout his career, going 6-9 with a 4.22 ERA in 22 games against Philly.
As for the Cincinnati bats, they've struggled immensely throughout this season, only mustering up a .233 team BA, 25th in the MLB.
Jose Iglesias and Eugenio Suarez have been two of the lone bright spots on the team this season, so they'll need to show up Saturday if they want to get the W against Philly.
