Phillip Dorsett Exits Patriots-Eagles With Apparent Head Injury After Scoring TD
By Karl Rasmussen
The last thing the New England Patriots needed was an injury to their receiving corps, but that's just what occurred on Sunday against the Eagles.
Wide receiver Phillip Dorsett reeled in an impressive touchdown reception from fellow Pats wideout Julian Edelman, but it appears Dorsett may have suffered a head injury in the process.
Dorsett came down cleanly with the touchdown grab, but was slow to get up in the aftermath.
He went to the locker room to undergo further examination after the play and has been labeled questionable to return to the contest.
The score was Dorsett's fifth touchdown of the season, and while it gave the Patriots a 17-10 lead over the Eagles, it didn't come without a potentially significant cost.
We're hoping that Dorsett's knock isn't serious and that he'll be able to return to the game before long.
Fortunately for the Patriots, rookie wideout N'Keal Harry made his NFL debut on Sunday, so they had a bit of additional depth at the position.
