Pirates Announce Roberto Clemente's Wife Vera is in 'Delicate Health'
Sad news has come out of the Pittsburgh Pirates' organization on Friday as Vera Clemente, the wife of the late MLB legend Roberto Clemente, has been hospitalized and is in 'delicate health'.
Vera isn't just the wife of Roberto, but a very integral figure in the baseball community, serving as the MLB Goodwill Ambassador.

The Pirates are asking for prayers from their fans during this time for the Clemente family.
Vera is also the Chairwoman for the Roberto Clemente Foundation. The charity provides aid for disaster relief, baseball clinics for at-risk youth, as well as many other humanitarian services.
In relation to charitable deeds, the Roberto Clemente Award is given annually to the MLB player who displays community involvement and sportsmanship.

All of this makes the news about Vera even more concerning, as the Clemente family has made a lasting impact both on and off the field. We're praying she makes a speedy recovery.
