First pitch is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. ET at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Midwest and AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh, with live streams available via the MLB Streams Subreddit.
Pittsburgh Pirates Lineup
From top to bottom, the Pirates boast a dangerous lineup with Newman, Reynolds, Cabrera, Moran and Stallings all hitting above .290. Coming off an impressive victory thanks to Colin Moran's ninth-inning infield single, the Pirates are poised to put big numbers on the board yet again on Wednesday.
The flame-throwing Chris Archer will make the start for the Pirates, coming off a no-decision where he recorded a season-high 10 strikeouts against the Cubs. In three career starts against the Cardinals, Archer is 0-0 with a 2.20 ERA.
St. Louis Cardinals Lineup
The Cardinals will look to turn their momentum around in Wednesday's matinee with the help of Tyler O'Neill's hot bat. Despite resting a few top players, St. Louis first baseman Paul Goldschmidt hopes to carry some of the offensive load.
Daniel Ponce de Leon will toe the rubber for the Cardinals on Wednesday. In his last game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Ponce de Leon received a no-decision after giving up one run and only three hits over 6.2 innings. In his only lifetime start against the Pirates, Ponce de Leon allowed two runs in five innings.
