Pistons Return From Cavs for Andre Drummond Was So Bad 2K Won't Even Allow it
By Brendan Balsamo

On Thursday, before the NBA's trade deadline, the Detroit Pistons traded seven-year veteran center Andre Drummond to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Brandon Knight, John Henson and a 2023 second-round draft pick.
The Pistons got absolutely fleeced and everybody, except Detroit management, seems to realize it. Even NBA 2K understands this. A fan tried to replicate the trade in-game and couldn't because even the 2K CPU realized how ridiculous it was.

Virtual Pistons general manager seems a lot smarter than the one in real life.
The worst part of it wasn't even the deal, but the lack of loyalty the Pistons front office showed Drummond. He wasn't even given a heads up before the trade went down, making it even more of a shock to him.
If there’s one thing I learned about the NBA, there’s no friends or loyalty. I’ve given my heart and soul to the Pistons , and to be have this happen with no heads up makes me realize even more that this is just a business! I love you Detroit...

The Pistons are currently the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference and are sitting at 19-36, so it makes sense that they'd trade some pieces to start a rebuild. However, no one, not even Drummond, foresaw a trade like this going down the way it did.

At least 2K knows what's right. That's more than the Pistons can say.
