In the lead-up to Super Bowl LIV, companies began unveiling previews to their big commercials for the game. Planters decided to shock the world by releasing a teaser trailer, which highlights the "death" of Mr. Peanut. On Super Bowl Sunday, Planters unveiled the final act of the commercial, showing Mr. Peanut's funeral. During said service, the Kool-Aid Man's tears brought the mascot back to life as the unfortunately named Baby Nut.

Baby Nut is obviously a spoof of Baby Yoda of the hit Disney+ series, "The Mandalorian." Planters jumped on the bandwagon, but opened themselves up to a variety of immature jokes on social media.

But hey, Planters isn't going to complain about the added publicity. This Super Bowl commercial is going to lead to an increase in sales for sure.

You can officially credit the Kool-Aid Man for the resurrection of Mr. Peanut, and the influx of Baby Nut jokes on social media. Oh yeah.
