By Jerry Trotta

Devastating news came out of Toronto when gunfire broke out at the Raptors championship parade Monday afternoon. The shootings forced a startling stampede at Nathan Philips Square near city City Hall, where tens of thousands of fans were gathered to celebrate the first Larry O'Brien Trophy in franchise history.
None of the injuries, including those suffered during the panic, were fatal, according to Toronto police. Authorities quickly detained two suspects in connection with the even, and according to several news outlets, a third suspect was subsequently arrested who originally managed to evade the police's grasp during the mass scattering.

"We do have people arrested with firearms, and that's the start of the investigation,'' said Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders.
It's too early in the investigation to label the incident as anything more than a shooting, but police spokeswoman Allison Sparkles said that authorities are working to determine if it was a targeted shooting or an act of terrorism.
