As Red Sox icon David Ortiz heals following what appears to have been an attempt on his life Monday night, the search for the perpetrators continues.

Though one suspect has been arrested in connection with the case, police say that they're still searching for a second suspect who was involved in the shooting.

The man who fired at Ortiz, Eddy Feliz Garcia, is in police custody, but they're still searching for his accomplice, the man who drove with him on a motorcycle.

Videos surfaced on social media of people attacking and beating Garcia as he attempted to flee the bar after firing at Ortiz, and it later became clear that he was, in fact, the suspect in question.

Per reports from the scene, Ortiz underwent six hours of surgery throughout the night. Doctors had to remove his gallbladder as well as control bleeding from his liver and bowel. He's been medically cleared to travel back to Boston for further treatment.

Ortiz is even more of a hero in the Dominican Republic than he is in Boston, so it's safe to say that the second suspect might not get much help from the general public.

Hopefully, the perpetrator is brought to justice for their involvement in this heinous and unnecessary act of violence.
