This 2021 Redskins-Packers Trade Involving Aaron Rodgers Gives Green Bay the Cop-Out They Need
By Mark Powell

When the Green Bay Packers drafted Jordan Love, the clock started ticking towards the inevitable end of Aaron Rodgers' run at Lambeau.
Whether Matt LaFleur and Co. are willing to admit it or not, Rodgers will not be a Packer to end his professional career -- unless he's willing to play out his contract and ditch another opportunity with something still left in the tank. If you know anything about Rodgers, his drive and competitiveness will not allow him to do this, period.
Come 2021, the Packers will have to face this reality and potentially part ways with Rodgers. Should they trade him, the Washington Redskins make sense as a potential destination.

Rodgers age actually makes him quiet attainable for the right trade package. He'll be 37 by next offseason, so a first- and third-round pick should be enough to get a deal done, especially if the Redskins remain in rebuilding mode next season.
Washington hasn't shown much belief in Dwayne Haskins, and barring an impressive 2020 campaign, Rodgers would represent a significant upgrade.
Yikes! This article thinks Packers could save a ton of dough, if they part ways w/Aaron in 2021 or 2022 or 2023. Some landing spots include: Raiders, 49ers, Patriots, Redskins, Colts, Broncos or Jaguars.

Dan Snyder prefers his stadium full, to say the very least. Acquiring Rodgers makes a lot of sense for a franchise predicated on financial success, even if it sacrifices wins in the long run.
