Proposed NFL CBA Would End All Suspensions for Players Testing Positive for Marijuana
By Jack Murphy

Plenty of players in the NFL have been forced to miss games due to suspensions from testing positive for marijuana use. However, due to a new policy contained in proposed the collective bargaining agreement from the NFL and its owners, this may no longer have to be the case.
Per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, players would not receive any suspensions if they tested positive for THC (the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis) alone under the terms of this potential CBA framework.
As for the drug policy, there will be no more suspensions for testing positive for THC alone. Testing period slashed to only two weeks. Nanogram limit goes from 35 to 150. Lots of players have to love that section of the term sheet.

This piece of policy would clearly be player-friendly, as it also cuts down the drug testing period to only two weeks and raises the limit on THC levels permissible in the body without requiring any penalty.
It is about time that we see a change to the drug policies in the NFL. Players were getting harsher punishments for smoking weed then others were for domestic abuse in some cases.
The NFL Playoffs could be expanding as early as this upcoming season if new CBA is approved:

Big changes will be coming to the NFL as early as next season. While some of the eventual decisions may be questionable, relaxing archaic policies related to cannabis has been a long time coming.
