Who knew that waiting near a tennis court in which balls are being fired at triple-digit velocities could be a bit dangerous? During the third set of Rafael Nadal's match against Federico Delbonis at the Australian Open, a ball girl was smacked in the face by one of Nadal's return shots. Luckily, she wasn't injured, and she even got some up close and personal time with Rafa himself in the aftermath.

No one was injured, and the ball girl ended up getting a kiss from one of tennis' all-time heroes to boot. Nadal ultimately cooked up another dominant performance to move on in Melbourne -- and atypical end in what was inevitably a typical early-round match for the Spanish star.
