The Oakland Raiders just got some devastating news on the injury front. After being carted off during practice on Thursday, offensive guard Gabe Jackson received the results of an MRI on his knee.
It seems that he suffered an MCL injury and is expected to miss roughly eight weeks of action, a serious blow for the Raiders' offense.

Jackson has been a cornerstone of Oakland's offensive line over the past few seasons, starting in 72 games over the past five seasons.
The 28-year-old began his career as a left guard before transitioning to the right side of the trenches in 2016. He was selected by the Raiders in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Mississippi State.

With Jackson sidelined for the foreseeable future, don't be surprised if the Raiders dip into the free agency pool for some offensive line depth, though as it stands, it's likely that Denver Kirkland will be called upon in some capacity.
