VIDEO: Rajon Rondo Tosses Ball After Whistle and Nails Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in the Head
By Scott Rogust
The Los Angeles Lakers, looking to build on their lead in the Western Conference, hosted the longtime rival Boston Celtics on Sunday afternoon. During the closely contested game, Rajon Rondo stole the ball of Celtic forward Jayson Tatum, but the play was blown dead. As soon as Rondo heard the whistle, he launched the ball high into the air in frustration. Hilariously, the ball came down and landed square on the head with an unsuspecting Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
Well, that's a way to get your head in the game.
In case you couldn't see that clearly enough, ESPN had a slow-mo close-up shot of it.
Hey, when it comes to playing his former team, Rondo always shows up. In the process, he's ultra intense and focused on the game at hand. Unfortunately for Caldwell-Pope, he just happened to be standing in the wrong place at the wrong time, getting caught in the crosshairs of Rondo's rage.
