Rams CB Jalen Ramsey Tweets Curiously Tight-Lipped Reaction to Jaguars Firing Tom Coughlin

Tom Coughlin is out as vice president of football operations for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the midst of his third season in the role. And though Jalen Ramsey is no longer a member of the team -- he was famously offloaded to the Los Angeles Rams in October -- he didn't hesitate to shoot off a reaction to the news of his former front office boss getting the sack.

Well, he reacted by not reacting.

Ah, yes. Perhaps better to leave things unsaid, eh?

Ramsey, the Jags' No. 5 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, was supposed to be a superstar in Freakville. For a couple of years, actually, he was, making multiple Pro Bowls and earning 2017 All-Pro honors. Things eventually soured beyond repair, unfortunately, with a mysterious back injury (that may not have been real?) highlighting what was a fairly kicking-and-screaming preseason saga indicating he wanted out.

Now, Jalen gets the last laugh. Well, sort of; the Jags may be 5-9 and last in the AFC South, and the defending NFC champion Rams are 8-6 but on the outside of the playoff picture looking in.

For now, however, Ramsey's lips are sealed. No victory laps or dunking on his former team. No way. No sir.

At least for now.
