Rams Defender Dante Fowler Jr. Not at OTAs Because He Missed His Flight
By Max Scoli
Los Angeles Rams' Dante Fowler Jr. was a no-show at the team's OTAs on Tuesday, and his reason is pretty ridiculous.
When you think about the possible excuses for missing a team function, among the most condemnable is being late, which is apparently what happened with the veteran.
The former No. 3 overall pick recorded 21 tackles, 2 sacks, a forced fumble, and a pass defended in eight games with the Rams last season. He was a large part of the run that led their team to compete in the Super Bowl before inevitably losing to the New England Patriots.
He was acquired from the Jacksonville Jaguars in October of 2018 in exchange for a 2019 third-round pick and a 2020 fifth-round selection in a move that looked to have paid off until he decided to miss his flight to Rams practice.
This has probably happened before, but for a team coming off a conference title, it's hard to fathom this being accepted by the organization. Don't be surprised if he's reprimanded once he finally gets on a flight and arrives at OTAs.
