Following Carson Wentz signing a four-year contract extension that includes $107 million in guarantees, Rams fans shouldn't hold their collective breath on an extension for Jared Goff.

Los Angeles Rams COO Kevin Demoff said that Wentz's deal has no impact on extension talks with Goff right now. While a deal may certainly come to light, the Rams are in no rush.

While most people will remember Goff and the Rams wetting the bed against the Patriots in the Super Bowl, the former Cal quarterback has become one of the most efficient passers in the league under Sean McVay.

In the last two years, during which he made the Pro Bowl in both seasons, Goff has thrown for 8,492 yards alongside 60 touchdowns passes and just 21 interceptions.

In McVay's vertical, play-action-oriented offense, Goff's beautiful deep ball and touch along the sideline have really flourished. Has it developed to the point that the Rams are willing to sign him to a nine-figure contract when they're already paying Todd Gurley and Aaron Donald obscene amounts of money? Now that remains to be seen.

And the Rams are being quite clear in their stance, not allowing Wentz's deal to impact their own discussions with their signal caller.
