The Green Bay Packers selected wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. At the time, do you think they noticed that he had any similarities to one of the greatest wideouts of all-time, Randy Moss?

I doubt it, but Moss himself confessed this week that sees a lot of himself in the Packers wide receiver.

"As far as his size and the structure of his body, the way he looks, for sure," Moss said. "And the way he makes things look easy."

Valdes-Scantling is 6-foot-4 and runs a 40-yard dash in the 4.3 range. Yeah, that's Moss-esque. Of course, having measurables like that doesn't mean you'll end up being like Moss, which the Hall of Famer noted.

"When I first met him, I could tell how talented he was and how he made things look easy," Moss said. "But I told him that he needed some work."

Valdes-Scantling has proven to be a deep threat in this Packers offense, owning the second-most 40-plus yard catches (8) since Week 6 of last season. That's impressive, but at the same age, Moss was already a two-time All-Pro and had led the NFL in touchdown catches twice.

Of course, Valdes-Scantling could earn more attention from people other than Moss (who has worked out with him and taken him under his wing) if he takes advantage of his current situation, slotting in as Green Bay's top receiver with Davante Adams out with injury.
