How to Live Stream the Game
First pitch is slated for 4:05pm ET. The game will be broadcast on NESN, FSSW, and MLB Network. Live streaming will be available a few minutes before first pitch on the MLB Streams subreddit.
Rangers Lineup
Leading off for the Rangers is once again Shin-Soo Choo, with Delino DeShields in center field and hitting second. Elvis Andrus and Nomar Mazara hit third and fourth, while Hunter Pence looks to stay hot hitting fifth. Asdrúbal Cabrera and Rougned Odor bat next, ahead of Ronald Guzmán and Jeff Mathis.
Texas currently has sole possession of the second Wild Card spot and have played their best baseball over the last few weeks. Among the reasons for the Rangers' success has been Pence, who continued his hot hitting Tuesday night with an inside the park home run. Pence now has 14 home runs on the season to go with a sparkling .930 OPS, after the Rangers basically took a flier on him this offseason. The Rangers have surprisingly been one of the best offenses in baseball all season, second in the league in runs scored with 377.
Lance Lynn will be on the mound for Texas, looking for his eighth win on the season.
Red Sox Lineup
Mookie Betts leads off for Boston, with the usual suspects behind him; Andrew Benintendi, J.D. Martinez, Rafael Devers and Xander Bogaerts. Brock Holt hits sixth, ahead of Christian Vázquez, Jackie Bradley Jr., and Michael Chavis.
The Red Sox simply cannot seem to get over the hump, and now find themselves back at .500, and incapable of making up ground on the Yankees and Rays in the AL East. Boston's pitching has been abysmal basically all year, but especially in the past week, surrendering 9 runs to the Rangers in their loss on Tuesday night. Betts, who's struggled of late, is 12 for his last 59 and 29 for his last 120, bringing his season average down to .267. Boston has been desperately looking for a leadoff hitter, but perhaps Mookie isn't the answer?
Rick Porcello will toe the rubber for the Rangers, looking to bounce back from a few rough starts.
