We have some troublesome news out of MLB Spring Training. During Sunday's Texas Rangers-Los Angeles Dodgers game, Rangers outfielder Willie Calhoun was facing off against Julio Urias when Urias' pitch careened straight towards the former Dodgers prospect and struck him in the face. Calhoun, after dropping to both knees, was eventually carted off the field while holding a towel over his jaw.

It was a terrifying scene, as members of both the Rangers and Dodgers watched on as Calhoun was attended to by medical staff and consoled by his coaches. The one good piece of news is that Calhoun moved under his own power and walked towards the cart on his own.

No details have been revealed by the Rangers as of this writing, but we will continue to keep you updated once they are provided. Calhoun stayed down for several minutes, before walking on his own, though it's hard to be optimistic about his prognosis after seeing the direct angle of the impact.
