The SEC is home not only to the best football in the country, but arguably the best combination of uniforms from top to bottom in America. These squads have the perfect mix of traditional, simple looks and inventive, newer combinations.

The SEC East has some of college football's most unique jerseys, even if some teams in that division are probably in need of a redesign.

7. Vanderbilt

Yes, the whole "Anchor Down" thing is part of Vanderbilt's culture, but it still doesn't fit naturally with a team called the Commodores. Three different shades of either black or gray make for a drab look, while the anchor chain on the helmet and "DORES" above the facemask could probably be ditched. The only things that save it are the gold numbering and some decent alternates.

6. Missouri

Missouri can never just pick a uniform combination and stick with it. The all-black threads look nice, as does the black with a white helmet and white pants, but too many unnecessary combinations, like one with the old-school tiger on the helmet, knock this set down a notch. Putting a big name on the front of the jersey is always a risky proposition, and "MIZZOU" in giant gold letters could probably be scrapped in the next redesign.

5. Tennessee

Tennessee is a tricky one. Their traditional uniforms include white helmets with an orange streak in the middle, orange jerseys and white pants. Certainly kind of boring look, but the tradition it carries and the distinctive orange color that makes them instantly recognizable both work in the Volunteers' favor.

4. Kentucky

Kentucky adopted Tennessee's checkerboard, and they put it on the side of the jersey to great effect. The silver helmet, black outline around the numbers, and bold, bright blue are all stunning additions to one of the SEC's cleanest looks. The giant team name across the middle of the jersey is polarizing, but it somehow works here.

3. South Carolina

Just having "CAROLINA" on the chest is a huge L, but everything else about South Carolina's jerseys pop. One of the few teams that use maroon as a primary color, they manage to marry it with black and white for a look that looks sleek and modern. Their alternate, which featured a black jersey with "GAMECOCKS" on the front and a maroon helmet, was one of the best jerseys unveiled in 2019.

2. Georgia

A classic looks that has undergone very few drastic facelifts, Georgia managed to overcome the grey pants and land at No. 2 on this list. The distinctive G logo paired with bright red and a unique numbering font are almost the perfect blend of traditional and updated for the modern age. It's hard to screw up red, black and white, and Georgia excels with these colors.

1. Florida

The bold blue jersey with big white numbers and orange outlines -- the Gators jersey is already a home run. When paired with the orange helmet and the script "Gators" on the side, this enters A+ territory. Even the throwback unis with the vertical orange stripes and the encircled "F" were a treat to see live in action. Yes, that gator skin alternate was an atrocity, but Florida scrapping that nightmare and staying with this awesome look earns them the top spot.
