Rapper N.O.R.E. Tells Hilarious NSFW Story About Michael Jordan
Despite being one of the most recognizable figures on earth, NBA legend and Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan has largely stayed out of the public eye since his retirement. That's why when stories about him surface from other celebrities, they're almost always guaranteed to be worth listening to.
A recent story from rapper N.O.R.E is no different. On a 2016 Rap Radar podcast, he claimed that Jordan attended a Def Jam Christmas party one year, only to ignore every rapper there and exclusively talk to Jay-Z. When people came up to MJ to inform him about the other big names present, he was quoted as saying, "F*** rap".
Jordan was clearly not interested in socializing with anyone but Hov, and he didn't care who knew. He wouldn't even kick off a conversation with Wu-Tang Clan's Method Man and Redman, two of hip hop's biggest stars at the time.
N.O.R.E also recalled Jordan demanding to be removed from a Hype Williams music video before its release in 1999. The video contained a Roy Jones Jr. fight where MJ was in the crowd.
We've heard other stories about MJ avoiding association with lower-tier rappers, such as the time he rejected to take a picture with Chamillionaire.
Perhaps it's a generational thing with Jordan. Or maybe he's just a jerk.
