Rasul Douglas Defends Nelson Agholor After He Got Roasted on Twitter Following Eagles Exit

Nelson Agholor became a punchline for many Philadelphia Eagles fans during his five years with the team. He had issues with dropping passes in big moments, and that led to the Eagles opting to move on. On Saturday, the wideout latched on with the Las Vegas Raiders, and fans in Philly weren't shy about being happy to be rid of him.
Amid all the hate Agholor was receiving from fans on Twitter, Eagles defensive back Rasul Douglas stepped up and came to the defense of his former teammate.
Nelly was one of the best WRs on the team. That’s facts https://t.co/mwMIE5MlDh

Just because Agholor is moving on to a new chapter, doesn't mean his former teammates don't have his back.
Agholor was a first-round pick in 2015 and averaged over 500 yards per season in Philadelphia. While he struggled with consistency and didn't live up to expectations, the hate for him was a bit over the top.
Despite everything that came before and after, Nelson Agholor put it all together in 2017 for one unforgettable year.

Agholor also provided the Eagles with experience in 2019 when the entire receiving corps was dealing with injuries. He was never a star, but he did enough to earn the respect of his teammates before embarking on the next stage of his career.
While fans may be happy to see him go, current Eagles players won't stand by while he gets lambasted on social media.
