The Baltimore Ravens drafted and developed an MVP quarterback in just two years, as Lamar Jackson was named just the second unanimous MVP in football history after an historically good 2019 season. The Ravens themselves found a unique way to honor their beloved No. 8, as they had several Baltimore schoolchildren read out letters they wrote to Jackson as part of a video tribute entitled "Dear Lamar".

Unique and touching at the same time. Exemplary work by the Ravens.

Despite sitting out one game and missing the equivalent of four total quarters in his other starts due to the Ravens being up by so much, Jackson had a season for the ages. Not only did he lead Baltimore to a 13-2 record in games he started, but he led the league in touchdown passes with 36 against just six interceptions.

More famously, he broke the record for rushing yards by a quarterback in a season when he ran for 1,206 yards.

If you're saying you didn't have at least one little doubt about whether Jackson could make it in the NFL, you're only kidding yourself. Those doubts from all corners of the NFL have only fueled Lamar's already-burning competitive fire, and they've brought him a unanimous MVP at the age of 23.
