Ravens Drafting Ohio State RB JK Dobbins Somehow Makes Lamar Jackson Even More Dangerous
By Michael Luciano
2019 MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens set a record for rushing yards in a single season, but that doesn't mean they would pass up one of the most unique running back talents in the draft in Ohio State running back JK Dobbins.
The Ravens got Mark Ingram, who just turned 30, a new sidekick when they picked Dobbins with the 55th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Dobbins ran the ball 301 times for 2,003 yards and 21 touchdowns during his final season at Ohio State.
Dobbins also started to improve as a receiver during the 2019 campaign, which could give Jackson and offensive coordinator Greg Roman a new playmaker LJ can target out of the backfield. The fact Dobbins was available here had to be too good for Eric DeCosta to believe.
Jackson and the Ravens are going to be even more dangerous next season. Even if you manage to reign Jackson in, he has the luxury of handing the ball off to one of two sledgehammers in the backfield in either Ingram or Dobbins.
