VIDEO: Lamar Jackson Confirms He'll Be on Cover of Madden 21

On top of receiving the NFL MVP award, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson confirmed on Tuesday that he will receive another honor on the heels of an historic campaign. In a fairly awkward interview, the 23-year-old superstar confirmed that he will be gracing the cover of Madden 21. Jackson said that he's been in contact with EA Sports, the game's designer, and he even acknowledged that he isn't at all concerned about the "Madden curse" that has affected a handful of players before him with surprise injuries and unfortunate career downturns.
Considering the extraordinary year that Jackson just put together, this honor is fully-deserved. In 2019, the former No. 32 overall pick completed over 66% of his passes for 3,127 yards and 36 touchdowns compared to just six interceptions. With his legs, the Ravens stud added 1,206 yards and seven scores on a jaw-dropping 6.9 yards per scamper.
If you want a face for the definitive football video game franchise, there's no better pick right here, right now.
Jackson led Baltimore to a 14-2 record, which saw them capture the AFC North crown and the No. 1 postseason seed in the conference. Of course, the season didn't end as the Louisville product had hoped, as the Ravens were upset by the Tennessee Titans in the Divisional Round.
Looking ahead, Jackson will aim to replicate the success that Patrick Mahomes enjoyed while gracing the cover of the renowned video game franchise last time around. Coming off an MVP award of his own, the Kansas City Chiefs gunslinger won the Super Bowl and the big game's MVP honor this past season
If there's anybody who fan live up to such a lofty billing, it's Jackson.
