Leave it to a third-string tight end to give the New England Patriots all the bulletin-board material they need this week.

Baltimore Ravens tight end Nick Boyle, who has 12 catches on the season, gave an 8-0 Patriots team all the motivation they need before the two teams meet up on Sunday Night Football, as Boyle claimed that New England's historic start to the season on defense is a product of them playing quarterbacks...not as successful as Lamar Jackson.

Oh boy, here comes a 14-33 passing day for Jackson. Blame no one else but Boyle.

While the Patriots have gone against a slew of poor quarterbacks (Ryan Fitzpatrick, Luke Falk, Sam Darnold), that defense has Pro Bowlers at every level, so assuming Jackson, who is still the best QB New England has faced this year, is instantly going to crack the code and slice them up smacks of tempting fate.

This league is incredibly stupid except for one team up in Massachusetts. Baltimore is one of the best organizations from a functionality standpoint in the league, but even they aren't above driving the final nail into their own coffin before they play New England.
