Rays Brag About Random 162-Game Stretch of Schedule and Get Roasted on Twitter
By Parker White

Over the course of the last year, the Tampa Bay Rays have been one of the best teams in baseball. If we want to be precise, the Rays actually have the best record in the AL East over the last 162 games with 101 wins.
Last 162 games:

It's their best 162-game stretch in franchise history, which is impressive considering how great the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox have been for a couple years now.
But why are they celebrating something that doesn't mean squat? Do it from the beginning of the season until the end when it can actually lead to a division title and a deep October run.
Now all you have to do is win 101 in one season.

I mean, they don't get to add a banner for this.

Baseball fans, especially Yankee supporters, are giving the Rays a lot of grief for this tweet. Rays Twitter may be posting something factual, but it's pretty silly to pick a random 162-game stretch to make a point that your team is good.

I think everyone realizes that, but until they make a run in October, it doesn't matter what they do during the regular season, especially a span of games that are parts of two separate campaigns.
