Rays vs Yankees MLB Live Stream Reddit for Series Opener

The Tampa Bay Rays will travel to the Bronx to take on the Yankees in what is set to be a battle for first place in the AL East. The Rays come in trailing the Yankees by a half game and can take possession of first with a win. New York looks to gain some ground on their division rivals.

Rays Lineup

The Rays young offense comes in led by Austin Meadows and Brandon Lowe. Lowe leads all AL rookies in a multitude of offensive categories including batting average, hits, runs and home runs. Meadows on the year is batting .314 with 12 homers, and 38 RBI. He will lead off, batting ahead of left fielder Tommy Pham.

On the bump tonight for the Rays is Yonny Chirinos. The right hander will make his third appearance against the Yankees this season and is 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA when facing the Bombers. Chirinos is 7-2 on the year with a 2.88 ERA and has logged 62 strikeouts across 75 innings pitched.

Yankees Lineup

New York will feature their latest addition with Edwin Encarnacion batting sixth and in the DH role. Encarnacion adds to what is already a stacked Yankees lineup. He currently leads the AL in home runs with 21. With Stanton and Judge due back soon, the Yankees are set to due some serious damage.

On the mound for the Yankees is Masahiro Tanaka. The righty is 4-5 on the year and will look to bump his record to .500. Tanaka has given the over-worked Yankees bullpen some rest of late completing at least six innings in his last seven starts. He's recorded a 3.58 ERA with 74 strikeouts in 83 innings.
