3 Records Drew Brees Tied or Broke on Monday Night Football vs Colts
By Mark Powell
What a night for Drew Brees in the Superdome. The future Hall of Fame signal-caller gave Saints fans a treat in their blowout win over the Colts on Monday Night Football, breaking or tying three (3!!) records. Yes, you're familiar with his score to eclipse Peyton Manning's mark, but the man set or tied two others just for fun.
3. Single Game Completion Percentage
Brees passed Philip Rivers for highest single-game completion percentage, hitting the mark on 96.7 percent of his throws. Yes, Brees is playing his best football of the season right now, which should terrify the NFC.
2. Holding Passing Yards, Passing TDs and Completion Percentage Records at Same Time
Drew Brees now holds the records for passing touchdowns, passing yards and completion percentage at the same time. The only other QB to do that? Sammy Baugh. Yes, technically that's tying a record.
1. Breaking Peyton Manning's Passing TD Record
Oh yes, the obvious choice and by far the moment of the night. On a pass to Josh Hill in the third quarter, Brees broke Manning's mark and momentarily holds the record for most career passing touchdowns. Yeah, he's just that good.
