It seems David Ortiz is ready for the world to see how much of an animal his son is. On Instagram live, the Boston Red Sox legend posted a video of a one-on-one coaching session with his son D'Angelo. The youngster already looks like a complete and total beast. You better believe GMs in the bigs are drooling while watching this.

In a soft toss drill, he explained how you should be approaching the plate, "when you're on beast mode." With a coach like that, beast mode seems like an absolute lock.

Big Papi explained the fundamentals of hitting to his son, who already has a nasty swing at just 15. Imagine how good the younger Ortiz will be in a few years. Holy smokes.

D'Angelo is a third baseman and looks to be a natural power hitter. It's no wonder, given his father is a seven-time Silver Slugger winner. He already has high ambitions. Namely, he wants to be better than his famous pops.

If Ortiz and his dad keep at it throughout their quarantine, he'll be on the right track. Persistence is key, and being a beast comes naturally to the Ortiz family. A few more years and a few more rounds of soft toss could have us seeing a lot more of D'Angelo Ortiz down the road.
