Red Sox Get Roasted on Twitter Before They Board Insanely Expensive Plane for London Series
By Michael Luciano

The Boston Red Sox certainly aren't sitting in economy class as they head to London to do battle with the Yankees from London Stadium in Stratford.
The Red Sox will board the Crystal Skye Boeing 777, which has been designated the most luxurious big jet in the world. While a trip to London will cost around $500,000 for 88 people, the Red Sox will get to enjoy first class seats, a backlit minibar, and dozens of other amenities.

If anything, $500,000 looks like a bargain for that. I guess that's what happens when your owner, John W. Henry, is worth $2.7 billion.
Some fans are appalled that a third-place team will be treated to such amenities, especially one with as shambolic a bullpen as they have.
They're in the cargo deck

New rule: You need to beat the White Sox at home before you're allowed to fly in the nice, fancy plane.
.500 baseball for the World Series champs. Send them economy

While the Yankees probably aren't flying Delta to London, some fans think a first-place team should at least get something with a few more bells and whistles.
DAMN. Then what does the first-place team get to ride in?

They had half a million lying around for a flight to London, but couldn't cobble together enough spare change to keep Craig Kimbrel around?
500k on a flight but couldn’t spend a god damn penny on a closer @RedSox

It remains to be seen if Boston can pull some wins out of this series across the pond, but at least they'll get to travel in style.
